Staff Accountant I
Nova Talent Solutions is a leading global organization seeking a Staff Accountant I for a 6-month contract opportunity. This role is ideal for local, junior-level candidates who will be responsible for processing billing, maintaining financial accuracy, and supporting administrative accounting functions.
Responsibilities
- Process billing, disbursements, and payment applications
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all financial transactions
- Research and resolve discrepancies, including check-related issues
- Respond professionally to internal and external communications
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Prepare and analyze accounting reports, including variances and billing statements
- Support administrative accounting functions and maintain client or account records
- Assist in improving and documenting accounting processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, SOX requirements, GAAP standards, and other regulatory guidelines
Skills
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple systems and tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Prior experience in finance or accounting roles
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills
