Position Overview – Night Shift Data Center Technician (DCT)

We are seeking motivated, detail‑oriented professionals to join our Night Shift team as Data Center Technicians. Working the 9 PM to 5 AM shift, you will play a critical role in the planning, deployment, troubleshooting, repair, and de‑commissioning of server hardware within arenaflex’s expansive data‑center ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

  • Hardware Lifecycle Management: Follow documented procedures to install, configure, test, and retire servers, storage arrays, networking switches, and rack equipment.
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Perform root‑cause analysis on hardware alerts, replace faulty components, and document resolutions while minimizing impact on customers.
  • Ticket Resolution: Work closely with senior engineers to address assigned tickets, meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaboration & Communication: Escalate complex issues to senior staff, provide clear status updates, and contribute knowledge to team briefings.
  • Security & Compliance: Follow arenaflex security policies, complete required safety training, and participate in regular security briefings.
  • Documentation: Accurately log all work performed in the ticketing system, ensuring traceability and compliance with audit standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest process enhancements, share best practices, and participate in cross‑functional initiatives to improve data‑center efficiency.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Fundamental understanding of computer hardware components (CPU, memory, storage, networking).
  • Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Willingness to undergo arenaflex Cloud Background Check and meet all security clearance requirements.
  • U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the United States, due to regulatory constraints.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • 1+ year of experience supporting IT hardware or related technology.
  • Previous exposure to data‑center environments, rack‑mount installations, or server maintenance.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex Cloud Services such as arenaflex Search, arenaflex Office Suite, arenaflex Gaming, arenaflex Drive, and the arenaflex Cloud Platform.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or vendor‑specific data‑center credentials).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with remote teams.
