Medical Billing Specialist (located in WA state) Remote Immediate Openings
Our national medical billing company is looking for an experienced, energetic, and organized Medical Billing Specialist and a Medical Billing Assistant, located in Washington state, to join our growing team. Experience with Advanced MD preferred Cardiology, Vascular, Orthopedics, or Pediatrics Billing Experience a PLUS+ Primary Duties:
- Accounts Receivable follow-up:
- audit accounts
- file appeals
- work correspondence, denials, and zero pay EOBs
- re-submit claims call carriers and patients
- Analyze claims and statements for accuracy
- Communicate professionally with client offices, staff, patients, co-workers, and the Management Team
- Document conversations and actions taken on accounts consistently and accurately
- Gather data and submit reports as requested by the Management Team
- Follow company protocols and comply with Federal, State, and payer regulations & guidelines
- Understand and meet current medical accounts receivable/billing regulations and compliance requirements
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience working in the Medical Billing field-ASC experience a Plus
- Exceptional Customer Service and Telephone skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls and correspondence
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Quality work product output
- Experience with practice management and EHR software
- Adept with computers, scanners and VoIP phones
