What You'll Do

Avalara is looking for an Executive Assistant to support C-Suite leadership within our Technology, Product, and Strategy organizations. You will have a variety of creative, coordination, and administrative responsibilities while serving as a trusted partner to executive leadership. Reporting to the Manager of Executive Assistants, this role is ideal for a, proactive professional who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and creating structure amidst competing priorities. This is a remote position in the United States. #LI-Remote What Your Responsibilities Will Be You will manage complex executive calendars, priorities, and communications Coordinate leadership meetings, offsite events, travel, and other executive activities from planning through execution. Prepare executives for meetings by coordinating agendas, materials, logistics, and follow-up actions. Build trusted relationships across the organization while serving as a primary contact for executive team members. Support priorities through presentations, expense management, and other administrative activities. Support special projects and projects by coordinating stakeholders, timelines, communications, and action items. You will partner with CoS on executive operating rhythms, including staff meetings, leadership reviews, and planning processes. Develop an understanding of Avalara's technology, AI automation, products, and priorities while identifying opportunities to improve processes and team effectiveness. What You'll Need to be Successful 5+ years of professional experience supporting senior leaders or executives. Experience managing executive calendars, travel, meetings, Organizational skills and able to work across all levels of the organization. Experience managing confidential information You have experience coordinating meetings, events, offsite events, or other executive engagements. Experience supporting leaders within technology, product, engineering, strategy, or other business organizations. Experience coordinating projects Experience working in a SaaS company Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn AI technical concepts, product development processes, and business strategy. You can anticipate challenges and address issues before they impact executive priorities. You are able to operate independently, take ownership, and make informed decisions. Demonstrate curiosity about Avalara's products, technology, customers, and business. You can identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance team effectiveness Pay Range Details The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations. Colorado $88,000 - $140,800 (annually) Washington $88,000 - $155,700 (annually) California $88,000 - $155,700 (annually) NYC $88,000 - $155,700 (annually) The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual salary/wage may be based on various factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and the employee’s role.
