Role Overview: Senior Analyst, Distribution Planning and Analytics

As a Senior Analyst in Distribution Planning and Analytics at arenaflex, you'll be instrumental in optimizing our content's global journey from creation to audience. This strategic position requires a blend of financial expertise, analytical prowess, and deep industry knowledge to support our worldwide content deals and direct-to-consumer services. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our content reaches the right audiences at the optimal time, maximizing both impact and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Content Distribution Analysis and Management

• Support worldwide content deal analysis and post-deal management for SVOD (Subscription Video-On-Demand) and DTC (Direct-To-Consumer) deals across arenaflex's global portfolio
• Collaborate with arenaflex's Content Outreach team, Business Operations, Legal, Finance, and Accounting on all aspects of content licensing, both pre-deal and post-deal
• Ensure accurate and timely availability of all content (feature films, originals, series, promotional materials, bonus content) while respecting complex rights holdbacks and restrictions from existing licenses, underlying rights, music issues, MVPD limitations, and resource availability
• Perform robust financial analysis and content valuation for all content licensing deals in partnership with regional teams

Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Services Support

• Manage the delivery of accurate and timely content across arenaflex's DTC services, navigating complex licensing restrictions and rights limitations
• Assist in developing global and regional content windows and strategies, coordinating between DTC and Content Outreach teams
• Enter and maintain distribution guidelines by region in arenaflex's Rights Management System (Rightsline)
• Review and adjust rights entries with regional DTC and Content Outreach teams on a quarterly basis to support DTC quarter-end accounting statements
• Provide ongoing content valuation by supplying global market data and comparative analyses

Strategic Analysis and Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Create analysis and presentation materials for senior leadership and client demands, including new distribution strategies, sales reporting, market trends, and best practices
• Partner with Finance and Planning on Content Deal outcomes, annual operating plans, and long-range planning presentations
• Support Legal with company and investor audits
• Liaise with asset delivery teams and business operations on servicing issues and rights management
• Track deal options, Most Favored Nations (MFNs), and contractual terminations to optimize our content portfolio

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Media Studies, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry
• Experience with financial modeling, complex financial analysis, and advanced Excel skills
• Proven ability to analyze large data sets and translate findings into actionable business insights
• Experience in international media distribution and rights management

Technical and Analytical Skills

• Deep expertise in contract interpretation, analysis, and basic drafting
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with ability to create compelling presentations for executive audiences
