About arenaflex and the Opportunity

Are you passionate about untangling complex, high-impact challenges that sit at the intersection of data science, advertising technology, and retail commerce? arenaflex is searching for a visionary Senior Staff Data Scientist to join our rapidly expanding analytics organization. This is a remote-friendly opportunity designed for a seasoned quantitative leader who thrives on shaping measurement strategy, driving product innovation, and influencing the future of omnichannel marketing technology.

At arenaflex, we are reimagining the way Suppliers, Sellers, and Marketplace partners harness best-in-class omnichannel marketing and advertising tools at scale. Our mission is to build intelligent, data-driven products that empower every brand—regardless of size—to compete effectively in an increasingly digital retail landscape. As a Senior Staff Data Scientist, you will lead the adoption of our next-generation marketing and measurement products across diverse customer segments, working alongside some of the brightest minds in data science, engineering, product management, and marketing strategy.

This role offers the unique opportunity to define the strategic direction of advertising measurement science at arenaflex, influence executive decision-making, and deliver tangible business outcomes for one of the most dynamic sectors in the global economy. If you are excited by the prospect of building frameworks that decode consumer behavior, optimize media spend, and unlock measurable growth for partners, this role is built for you.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Staff Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will operate as a technical thought leader and strategic partner across multiple cross-functional teams. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Measurement Science Leadership: Develop, refine, and scale the display advertising measurement strategy, including incrementality testing, sales lift modeling, synthetic control methodologies, ghost ad experiments, Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), and rigorous A/B testing frameworks.
  • Vision and Strategy Definition: Define the long-term vision and strategic roadmap for advertising measurement methodologies. Leverage deep domain expertise, internal best practices, external industry research, and emerging market opportunities to build compelling business cases and approve measurable objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Cultivate collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners by aligning priorities to business goals, communicating product roadmaps effectively, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership across multiple organizations.
  • Product Roadmap Management: Own and manage product roadmaps, balancing business needs with technical feasibility. Define rollout strategies, mitigate risks proactively, and ensure seamless execution of high-impact initiatives.
  • Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain continuous engagement with senior management and key stakeholders to ensure alignment, manage interdependencies, and surface insights that influence strategic decisions.
  • Storytelling and Communication: Translate complex modeling techniques into clear, accessible narratives. Build compelling stories that connect quantitative results directly to business problems and partner outcomes.
  • Data Integration and Insight Generation: Integrate disparate data sources and apply modern analytics best practices to deliver integrated, actionable insights to partners and senior leadership around digital advertising optimization.
  • Insight Presentation: Present media insights, optimization recommendations, and strategic findings to varied audiences, ranging from technical teams to C-suite executives and external clients.
