As part of arenaflex’s expanding portfolio, the Senior Analyst – Remote Data Entry & Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist role plays a pivotal part in translating raw data into actionable intelligence that drives strategic decision‑making.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s hyper‑connected world, data is the lifeblood of security operations. Our clients rely on precise, timely, and contextualized information to protect their networks, respond to incidents, and comply with regulatory mandates. As a Senior Analyst, you will be the bridge between raw cyber data and the strategic insights that enable our customers to defend against adversaries, reduce risk, and maintain operational continuity. This position is based in Virginia, USA, and while the title includes “Remote,” the role requires on‑site presence to collaborate directly with client teams and arenaflex’s internal experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Acquisition & Validation: Collect, cleanse, and verify large volumes of cyber‑related data from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness before analysis.
  • Threat Intelligence Production: Conduct in‑depth research on emerging threats, adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and produce concise intelligence reports for senior leadership.
  • Incident Support: Partner with incident response teams to provide real‑time data entry, correlation, and contextual insight during active cyber events.
  • Strategic Briefings: Develop and deliver both written and oral briefings tailored to technical and non‑technical audiences, translating complex findings into clear recommendations.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with cross‑functional groups—including threat hunters, forensic analysts, and client stakeholders—to ensure a unified approach to threat detection and mitigation.
  • Tool & Process Enhancement: Identify gaps in existing data pipelines and propose enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of intelligence workflows.
  • Compliance & Security Clearance Management: Maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph, adhering to strict government standards for handling classified information.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Intelligence Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cyber‑threat intelligence, digital forensics, or related security role within a client‑facing environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CTI (Cyber Threat Intelligence) frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, STIX/TAXII, and experience applying them in operational contexts.
  • Hands‑on experience with data collection tools, SIEM platforms, and threat intelligence platforms (TIPs).
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to executive leadership and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of synthesizing disparate data points into coherent, actionable intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience analyzing and interpreting strategic (operational) CTI in a high‑tempo environment, supporting detection, investigation, and response capabilities.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior analysts and lead knowledge‑transfer sessions on CTI methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud security architectures, particularly arenaflex Cloud, and the unique threat vectors associated with cloud workloads.
  • Background in government or defense contracting, with an understanding of the regulatory and compliance frameworks governing classified data.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GCTI, or CEH that demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to dissect complex data sets, identify patterns, and draw logical conclusions under pressure.
  • Communication Excellence: Crafting clear, concise reports and delivering compelling presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration: Working seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, fostering trust, and driving collective outcomes.
  • Adaptability: Thriving in fast‑changing environments where priorities shift rapidly and new threats emerge daily.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring data integrity throughout the collection, entry, and analysis phases.
  • Ethical Judgment: Handling sensitive information responsibly, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
