About the Role

The Content Analytics team at arenaflex is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Analytics Engineer to support the advancement of our strategic data initiatives. As a Senior Analytics Engineer - Content, you'll be part of a team of experts developing data assets that power our extensive suite of data products, from business intelligence frameworks to data science models.

You'll contribute to a data-driven culture by helping teams translate business requirements into robust data systems that provide standardization and consistency across metrics and dimensions. This role exposes you to a wide range of disciplines from engineering and data science, to marketing, product management, and content development.

The ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, manage multiple projects simultaneously, perform quality assurance checks, create analyses using business intelligence tools, and help guide others in best practices. This is a remote position based in New Jersey, offering flexible working hours and competitive compensation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to interpret business objectives and product requirements into tangible data assets
  • Design, implement, maintain, and monitor data pipelines in support of business intelligence and data science products
  • Enhance and optimize data assets within the data warehouse over time through performance tuning and data quality initiatives
  • Create and scale business intelligence analyses to address stakeholder use cases and business needs
  • Enrich the data catalog through documentation of business logic and data transformations
  • Facilitate data governance by implementing standardization and consistency of core business metrics and dimensions
  • Help define and democratize our internal standards for code best practices, including style, readability, and effectiveness
  • Develop compelling self-service dashboards and analyses that generate tangible business results
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to identify data opportunities that drive business impact
  • Mentor junior team members in data engineering best practices and techniques

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis, Data Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of significant experience in Software Engineering, Data Analysis, or Data Science
  • Demonstrated expertise in using workflow management and data catalog/documentation tools
  • Expert level SQL/Python/AWS skills that allow you to confidently and independently extract and join data from varied sources
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues
  • Experience working with large datasets and data warehousing solutions
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git)

  • Strong presentation skills, including data storytelling and visual communication
