Data Entry Analyst – Remote Summer 2024 IT Operations Research Internship at arenaflex – $24/hr – Full‑Time, 8‑Hour Days, Georgia/Minneapolis
Welcome to arenaflex – Where Data Powers the Future of Flight
At arenaflex, we are redefining the aviation experience through cutting‑edge technology, relentless innovation, and a commitment to safety and customer delight. As a global leader in air travel, arenaflex relies on a diverse community of thinkers, builders, and problem‑solvers to keep our fleet soaring, our passengers smiling, and our operations humming. Our IT Operations Research and Data Science teams are the engine room that transforms raw data into strategic insight, enabling smarter decisions across revenue, freight, customer experience, and technology operations.
We are looking for bright, motivated undergraduate students to join us for a summer internship that blends real‑world impact with professional growth. If you thrive on turning messy data into actionable models, love writing clean Python code, and are eager to see your work influence a Fortune‑500 airline’s daily operations, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
About the Role – IT Operations Research Data Science Intern (Data Entry Focus)
This full‑time, eight‑hour‑per‑day internship is designed for students who have completed at least two years of a bachelor’s program in a quantitative discipline. You will work side‑by‑side with senior data scientists, operations analysts, and business leaders to extract, clean, and explore data from multiple internal sources. Your work will directly support the development of predictive models that guide aircraft scheduling, route optimization, and revenue management.
While the position is remote‑first, you will be based out of either the arenaflex Atlanta, GA office or the Minneapolis‑St. Paul, MN hub, depending on interview outcomes. Our hybrid work model blends in‑office collaboration with flexible remote days, ensuring you get the best of both worlds.

- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) using Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, seaborn) to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts that automate data cleaning, transformation, and loading (ETL) pipelines.
- Build and evaluate statistical and machine‑learning models (regression, classification, time‑series) to forecast passenger demand, flight delays, and cargo capacity.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—Revenue Management, Operations, Customer Experience, and IT—to translate model outputs into actionable recommendations.
- Prepare concise, visually compelling presentations for senior stakeholders, summarizing methodology, findings, and business impact.
- Document code, data dictionaries, and workflow processes to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
- Adhere to arenaflex’s data security and privacy standards, safeguarding sensitive operational and customer information.
- Participate in weekly mentorship sessions, hackathons, and knowledge‑sharing forums to continuously sharpen technical and soft skills.
