Virtual Tax Preparer

No experience? No problem. Training and support will be provided to help you get started and grow successfully in the tax industry. As a Virtual Tax Preparer, you will assist clients with filing individual tax returns, provide professional customer service, and help clients maximize their refunds while remaining compliant with current tax laws and regulations. Duties

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns using tax software platforms
• Analyze financial documents, income statements, receipts, and other tax-related documents for accuracy
• Assist clients by explaining tax information in a professional and easy-to-understand manner
• Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and industry practices
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to client questions promptly and professionally
• Promote tax services through social media, referrals, networking, and marketing efforts
• Build and maintain your own client base

Requirements

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable phone, internet connection, and computer/laptop
• Ability to market yourself and gain clients
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
• Basic computer and typing skills
• Strong math and problem-solving abilities
• Must sign an independent contractor agreement before onboarding

Compensation

This is a commission-based Independent Contractor opportunity. This not an hourly employee role. Clients Aren’t Provided. Tax Professionals receive a 80/20 commission split and have the flexibility to build income based on their effort, marketing, and client volume. Income is not guaranteed. Earnings vary by individual performance. You are paid per client filed, meaning the more clients you bring in, the more money you can make. There is no cap on earnings.
