Retail Customer Service Associate – Delivering Exceptional Customer Experiences at arenaflex

As a Retail Customer Service Associate, you'll play a vital role in helping us achieve this vision by providing exceptional customer service, operating and maintaining a wide variety of equipment, and contributing to the overall success of our retail store.

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Customer Service Associate to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our retail store team, you'll be responsible for delivering a positive customer experience to all customers, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. You'll be knowledgeable in all areas of our business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping, and will be responsible for taking orders, coordinating activities in the store, providing pricing and product information, and recommending appropriate arenaflex products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver exceptional customer service by using consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions to meet customer needs

  • Provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate arenaflex products and services
  • Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information
  • Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items in insulation, inserting items into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels to parcels
  • Set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer-supplied original media and documents
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store
  • Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change
  • Clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability
  • Stay current on retail store merchandising materials and ensure proper display of all retail area product and signage
  • Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste
  • Complete required financial paperwork and may assist with financial reporting, including daily sales, close-outs, and bank deposits
  • Follow arenaflex standard operating procedures as well as adhere to legal, HR, safety, customer service, and security policies and procedures

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent education

  • 6+ months of specialized experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the arenaflex business

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a retail environment

  • Knowledge of printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines
  • Experience with Point of Sale terminals (POS) and financial transactions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay Transparency:

arenaflex is committed to pay transparency and will provide a salary range for this position. The salary range for this position is $15-$20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
