Fractional CFO Opportunity | Bitcoin + Lightning Network Experience Required We're currently partnering with an innovative digital payments software company that is building next-generation payment solutions leveraging Bitcoin and Lightning Network technologies. As they continue to scale, they are seeking a Fractional CFO who can bring a unique combination of traditional financial leadership and deep expertise in Bitcoin, Lightning Network, and Layer 2 payment ecosystems. This is not a typical CFO engagement. Our client is looking for a finance leader who understands the operational, treasury, and strategic implications of building within a Bitcoin-native payments environment. Key areas of responsibility
- Financial strategy, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Bitcoin treasury and capital allocation planning
- Fundraising support and investor communications
- Financial reporting and operational controls
- Strategic guidance related to Lightning Network and Layer 2 payment infrastructure
- Scaling finance processes to support rapid company growth
Required qualifications ✔ Previous CFO, VP Finance, Head of Finance, or Fractional CFO experience ✔ Strong understanding of Bitcoin treasury management ✔ Hands-on knowledge of Lightning Network and Bitcoin Layer 2 ecosystems ✔ Experience with financial planning, capital strategy, and investor-facing activities ✔ Background supporting high-growth software, fintech, or digital payments organizations Preferred experience
- Bitcoin-native or crypto-native company experience
- Digital asset accounting and regulatory knowledge
- Payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure platforms
- Experience supporting venture-backed startups
