Lead Provider Enrollment Coordinator

As a Provider Enrollment Coordinator Lead, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing provider onboarding and payer enrollment—supporting timely access to health plans and a seamless patient care experience. In this role, you’ll lead and mentor a team of enrollment specialists while serving as a subject matter expert on complex enrollment processes, payer requirements, and best practices. You’ll partner closely with clinical leaders, managed care, and credentialing teams to streamline workflows, improve turnaround times, and maintain accurate provider data. This position offers the opportunity to combine leadership, operational excellence, and collaboration—supporting provider readiness, strengthening revenue cycle outcomes, and enhancing the overall experience for both providers and patients. Job Summary: Leads assigned staff in performing activities or tasks relating to Provider Enrollment. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources and staff. Serves as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff. Assigns, monitors and reviews progress of work. Monitors and reports compliance with policies and/or procedures. Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance. Performs the duties of the Provider Enrollment Coordinator. Maintains knowledge of enrollment forms and related systems. Monitors claims held during enrollment application process. Monitors balances adjusted for enrollment issues and communicates where the timing in the onboarding and enrolling process is creating issues. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience EXPERIENCE Three years’ experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing.
