HealthShare Engineer (Remote Opportunity)

We are currently looking for a HealthShare Engineer for a 100% remote position on a large federal government project. The selected candidate will support enterprise healthcare integration environments and work within a collaborative DevSecOps-focused team supporting InterSystems HealthShare, IRIS, and related middleware technologies. This role involves supporting production systems, automating operational processes, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and assisting with infrastructure and application support initiatives. The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities

Provide strategies and solutions for automating operations and improving software delivery methodologies and technology processes. Maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and support backup, recovery, patching, and ADFS integrations. Manage certificate administration, including updates and renewals across production and lower-level environments. Provide Tier 3 support for HealthShare applications and related technologies. Install, configure, and maintain InterSystems base software, kits, patches, and middleware applications. Support OAuth and Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration and implementation efforts. Contribute to team objectives and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in Information Technology and/or Federal Government contracting environments. Minimum of 2 years of experience coding, maintaining, or supporting production systems. Hands-on experience with InterSystems Cache, IRIS, or HealthShare technologies. Experience automating infrastructure, testing, or deployments using tools such as Jenkins and Ansible. Experience with cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD processes to improve software quality and delivery speed. Strong experience with Agile and/or SAFe methodologies and DevOps practices. Experience working with Unix/Linux systems, Apache, Python scripting, and AWS CloudWatch. Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Additional Qualifications Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance. Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace preferred. Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) environments is highly preferred. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification preferred. Experience configuring and supporting large-scale middleware applications preferred.
