As a key member of our division, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to licensing applicants, processing applications, and maintaining accurate records.

Job Summary

We're seeking a Customer Service Representative with strong customer service, communications, and organizational skills to join our Licensing Division. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-volume customer service to licensing applicants in person and via phone
  • Processing applications, checking records for accuracy, and maintaining accurate records
  • Assisting applicants with outreach to other city agencies and interagency communication to resolve issues pertaining to their license
  • Answering telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence and communicating applicant information
  • Attending seminars, meetings, and/or trainings to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices
  • Performing ordinary mathematical computations while accepting and processing payments
  • Following all division and agency policies and procedures

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
  • One year of satisfactory clerical experience
  • Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities

  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
