IT Vendor Manager - M&A

Title: IT Vendor Manager - M&A Location : Remote, US Target Start Date : 3/9 Type: (C, CTH, D) C We are seeking a Remote IT Vendor Manager to lead vendor consolidation, sourcing, and supplier governance across newly acquired and existing business units. This role is responsible for capturing post-deal value by eliminating vendor duplication, standardizing tooling, renegotiating contracts at scale, and implementing a unified vendor management framework. You will partner closely with M&A, IT, Security, Finance, Legal, and HR to drive vendor integration and cost synergies.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Integration & Rationalization

  • Assess vendor portfolios following acquisitions and identify overlap across:

SaaS/software, cloud & infrastructure, professional services, data platforms, and G&A vendors

  • Create and execute vendor consolidation and transition plans
  • Support Day 1 / Day 100 integration planning and execution
  • Lead migrations and termination plans for redundant or non-strategic suppliers

Strategic Sourcing & Cost Synergy

  • Run RFP/RFQ events and lead contract renegotiations aligned to company scale
  • Build business cases and track vendor synergy savings
  • Establish category strategies and preferred vendor programs
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and synergy reporting

Supplier Governance & Performance

  • Implement vendor performance management for critical suppliers
  • Define SLAs, KPIs, and QBR cadence
  • Establish escalation, risk, and relationship management processes

  • Reduced vendor sprawl after acquisitions
  • Measurable cost savings and contract optimization
  • Standardized tooling across business units
  • Scalable vendor governance supporting future M&A

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in vendor management, sourcing, procurement, or IT business operations
  • Experience supporting M&A or large-scale integrations
  • Proven success in vendor consolidation and contract negotiation
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills
