Responsibilities

As a Team Lead at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of software developers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of software developers: You'll be responsible for guiding and supporting a team of software developers to achieve their full potential. This will involve providing regular feedback, coaching, and mentoring to ensure that team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Overseeing the software development lifecycle: You'll be responsible for overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that project deadlines and objectives are met.
  • Collaborating with product managers: You'll work closely with product managers to define project requirements and specifications. This will involve gathering and analyzing requirements, developing project plans, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensuring code quality: You'll be responsible for ensuring that code quality is maintained through regular code reviews and testing. This will involve working closely with developers to identify and resolve issues, and implementing processes and procedures to ensure that code quality is maintained.
  • Managing project timelines and deliverables: You'll be responsible for managing project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This will involve developing and managing project plans, tracking progress, and identifying and mitigating risks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field: You'll need to have a strong foundation in computer science or a related field, with a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development: You'll need to have at least 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong understanding of software development methodologies and principles.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role: You'll need to have at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams.
  • Proficiency in programming languages: You'll need to be proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++, with a strong understanding of software development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies: You'll need to have a strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

Nice-to-haves

While not essential, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience with cloud technologies: Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure would be beneficial, as would familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices: Familiarity with Agile development practices, including Scrum and Kanban, would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools: Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), would be beneficial.
