Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using various data processing technologies (e.g., Java, Python, Scala, Kafka, Hive, Voila, Flash, Flank)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop data solutions that meet business needs
- Develop and maintain high-quality data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
- Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data quality and provide data insights that drive business decisions
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and architecture
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on data engineering best practices
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in distributed data processing
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, Scala)
- Experience with data processing technologies (e.g., Kafka, Hive, Voila, Flash, Flank)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and develop effective solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Strong understanding of data security, data privacy, and compliance regulations
Nice to Have:
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Lake Formation, Azure Synapse Analytics)
- Certification in data engineering, data science, or related field
