Job Summary

The Manager State & Higher Education will be responsible for coaching and helping to professionally develop the Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management. This role will also involve increasing sales, establishing formal partnerships, and broadening awareness of arenaflex corporate travel programs and services to State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts. The Manager State & Higher Education will be a key member of our sales organization, responsible for identifying candidates, hiring, onboarding, and training a team of trusted advisors in the managed travel industry.

Key Responsibilities

* Coach and professionally develop Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management

  • Increase sales and establish formal partnerships with State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts
  • Broaden awareness of arenaflex corporate travel programs and services to State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts
  • Identify candidates, hire, onboard, and train a team of trusted advisors in the managed travel industry
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials and higher education administrators
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in managed travel and sales

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in sales and account management, with a focus on State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. is required, and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field
  • Experience working in the managed travel industry, with a focus on State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts
  • Certification in sales or account management, such as the Certified Sales Professional (CSP) or the Certified Account Manager (CAM)
  • Experience working in a remote environment, with a focus on virtual sales and account management
