Supply Chain Director, Global Logistics

. This pivotal role will oversee the strategy, development, and execution of all inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and distribution activities worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing the entire supply chain network to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. This includes designing and implementing robust inventory management systems, negotiating favorable contracts with carriers and logistics providers, and leveraging technology to drive visibility and automation. You will lead a high-performing team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include developing and managing the logistics budget, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and mitigating supply chain risks. Experience with complex international shipping, customs clearance, and freight forwarding is essential. You will also play a key role in strategic planning, identifying opportunities for network optimization and scalability as the business grows. This hybrid role requires a leader who can effectively bridge communication and collaboration between physical operations and remote strategic planning. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of logistics software and WMS/TMS systems, along with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, multi-modal transportation operations. Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive global logistics strategy. Oversee all aspects of inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics operations. Manage relationships and negotiate contracts with 3PL providers, carriers, and freight forwarders. Implement and optimize warehousing and distribution strategies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and customs requirements. Lead and develop a global team of logistics and supply chain professionals. Utilize technology and data analytics to improve visibility, forecasting, and decision-making. Develop and manage the global logistics budget. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience managing global logistics operations, including international freight, warehousing, and distribution. Strong understanding of WMS, TMS, and other supply chain technologies. Expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management. Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global environment.
