In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of regulatory compliance and food safety for our products in the EMEA region.To excel in this role, you must have a strong background in food safety and regulatory affairs, as well as experience in the packaging industry. Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards in the food and beverage industry in the EMEA region. Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of all food safety and quality control processes within the organization, ensuring they meet industry standards and regulations. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential risks and areas for improvement in food safety and compliance. Stay up-to-date with all relevant regulatory changes and updates in the food and beverage industry in the EMEA region, and communicate these changes to the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all packaging materials and processes meet regulatory and food safety requirements. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry associations to stay informed of any changes or updates in regulations and standards. Train and educate employees on food safety and regulatory compliance, ensuring that they understand and adhere to all relevant guidelines and procedures. Conduct investigations and root cause analysis in the event of any food safety incidents or non-compliance issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Manage and maintain all documentation related to regulatory compliance and food safety, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for audits and inspections. Act as a subject matter expert on food safety and regulatory affairs, providing guidance and support to other teams and departments within the organization. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance food safety and compliance processes and procedures within the organization. Represent the organization at industry events and conferences, staying informed on industry trends and best practices in food safety and regulatory affairs.
