Front-End / Full Stack JavaScript Developer (AI-Enabled) - 4-6 years of experience Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office per week) Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Financial Services / Asset Management Salary: $110,000-$130,000 + Bonus
About the Role
- We are seeking a front-end-focused JavaScript Developer to join a growing development team supporting enterprise applications within a financial services environment.
- This role is approximately 70% front-end development with exposure to back-end systems.
- The ideal candidate is a strong JavaScript developer who enjoys building data-driven applications, solving real-world problems, and leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and code quality.
- You'll work on both new development and enhancements to existing applications, collaborating closely with other developers in a fast-moving environment.
What You'll Do
- Build and enhance enterprise web applications using modern JavaScript
- Develop interactive, data-intensive user interfaces
- Work with large datasets and advanced grid/table components (e.g., AgGrid)
- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and data-related issues
- Write and execute SQL queries to investigate application behavior
- Support multiple projects simultaneously (new development and maintenance)
- Collaborate with backend teams working in Java Spring Boot microservices
- Occasionally communicate with business users to clarify requirements
AI-Enabled Development (Required) We are looking for developers who actively use AI tools as part of their Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including:
- AI-assisted coding (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar)
- AI-driven test generation
- AI-supported code review or optimization
- Using AI to troubleshoot errors, refactor code, or improve performance
- Automating documentation or development workflows with AI
Candidates should be comfortable working in a modern, AI-assisted development environment. Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with JavaScript (core/vanilla)
- Experience building enterprise or data-heavy web applications
- Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries
- Understanding of APIs and backend integration
- Exposure to Java and Spring Boot (working knowledge is sufficient)
- 4-6+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Experience with AgGrid or similar enterprise data components
- Background in financial services, banking, insurance, or asset management
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Familiarity with cloud-based databases (e.g., Snowflake)
