Your opportunity The Solutions Consultant (SC) at New Relic is the primary technical authority during the pre-sales process, accountable for securing the "technical win". In this role, you will optimize your blend of technical knowledge and customer-facing abilities to act as a trusted advisor and solution architect. You will partner with Account Executives to provide deep product expertise, build technical credibility, and architect solutions that solve critical business challenges. What you'll do Drive Technical Evaluations: Act as the "POV Quarterback" by leading all aspects of the adoption, optimization, and integration of New Relic products. You will leverage frameworks to drive Proof of Value (POV) presentations and technical evaluations to a successful Moment of Value (MoV). Deliver Compelling Demonstrations: Design, build, and deliver value-based product demonstrations that show the specific value of our Digital Intelligence Platform to prospects Technical Lead & Advisor: Act as the primary technical point of contact for prospects, responding to technical questions, handling objections, and responding to RFPs. Strategic Sales Partnership: Partner with Account Executives on opportunity qualification, strategy, and business justification. You will help identify revenue opportunities through new service upsells and contract renewals. Customer Advocacy: Act as a vocal advocate for the customer’s point of view, providing feedback to New Relic product management and engineering to support new product directions. This role requires 5+ years of pre-sales experience within the software industry, with at least 3 years working with complex customers. Expert-level knowledge of performance monitoring tools (infrastructure, application, web/mobile, or user experience). Familiarity with one or more development languages, such as Java, .Net, Ruby, C, Python, or Node.js. Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, enterprise architecture patterns, and API integration. Must be fluent in English. Exceptional presentation and communication skills tailored for both technical and business audiences. Consultative problem-solving skills with the ability to solve technical problems in real-time. Ability to manage multiple complex technical evaluations and RFPs simultaneously. A high degree of self-motivation and a strong desire to learn new technologies. Bonus points if you have Familiarity with SAP and OTEL. Exposure to Kubernetes, containers, microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD. Background in iOS and Android platforms and architectures. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent). This role is eligible for a commission plan (as defined in the sales incentive plan document). Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
