Senior DevOps Engineer - SC Cleared - $220,000 + Equity - Austin, Remote first We are working exclusively with an award-winning & fast growing Earth observation start-up making waves with their innovative, first of its kind technology product suite tackling geospatial data and analytics like no one has done before. Their technology empowers enterprises and individuals to tackle real-world challenges using satellite imagery and analytics – whether assessing bridge integrity, optimizing crop yields, or tracking endangered species. They are searching for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their growing platform team. You will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable cloud infrastructure that powers a seamless user experience, ensures secure and efficient delivery pipelines, and maximizes system reliability, while working closely with engineering, product, and operations teams. Due to the nature of the work, active SC clearance is required. Requirements:
- Architect, operate, and improve production-grade Kubernetes environments, including lifecycle, scaling, and performance management.
- Provision and manage multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) using Terraform/Terragrunt with strong IaC standards.
- Create and maintain CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, FluxCD) to support consistent, GitOps-based application delivery.
- Build Python tools and automation to streamline platform and infrastructure tasks.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across infrastructure, networking, and deployment pipelines in multi-cloud setups.
- Reduce manual workload by automating recurring or critical operational processes.
- Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for full observability.
- Maintain adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory standards, including sensitive environments.
- Work closely with engineering teams to translate requirements into dependable infrastructure solutions.
- Contribute to system architecture and scaling efforts with a focus on reliability and cost optimization.
- Promote modern cloud practices, IaC, and GitOps principles across the team.

They are based in Austin with their engineering team based remotely through-out the US.
