Responsibilities:

As a Part-Time Customer Support Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to our passengers, handling their inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Working in a helpful and collaborative spirit to ensure the success of our organization
  • Handling all aspects of check-in and baggage handling, including working a modernized retail location system, boarding, baggage handling, reservations, and resolving related issues and complaints
  • Handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets, calculating charges, making change, and balancing daily transactions
  • Inspecting baggage and freight, answering phone calls to provide information to guests, paging clients, resolving issues or grievances, and assisting as needed
  • Managing upset customers due to oversells, delayed or cancelled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, resolving such issues quickly and in accordance with company rules
  • Providing current and accurate fare, schedule, reservation, flight arrival/departure information, and answering general questions from customers and other guests at the airport
  • Completing forms and reports as required by the organization
  • Writing anomaly and complaint reports as needed
  • Performing other work duties as directed by supervisors

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • The ability to type and use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the needs of the job
  • The ability to understand records, follow guidelines, learn and understand tagging strategies, rules, and regulations
  • The ability to work with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful circumstances
  • The ability to complete the Customer Support Representative training program with an 80% or higher average and a passing assessment period
  • Knowledge of hazardous situations and the ability to handle crises as needed
  • The ability to work under close time deadlines to achieve quick turnarounds of aircraft
  • A well-groomed appearance in understanding the Ground Crew Worker Handbook and Work Schedule
  • The ability to perform all job duties within a confined space
  • The ability to communicate verbally by phone, in person, and on public address systems
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to convey information and directions verbally or through radio equipment
