Key Responsibilities
As an Information Specialist II, you'll be responsible for:
- Planning and developing high-quality content for versatility, reliability, and execution
- Troubleshooting complex Splunk issues using your expertise in cutting-edge searching and dashboarding
- Collaborating with external applications and frameworks as needed
- Advancing and teaching our customer community on Splunk search, alarm, and dashboard best practices
- Providing daily functional and local area support
- Performing information understanding, ordering, and enhancement
- Creating and managing information articles, such as fields, extractions, labels, event types, queries, workflow activities, pseudonyms, and macros
- Developing report-based reports and information model speed increase
- Working from home with the flexibility to manage your schedule
What You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- At least 3 years of experience in creating advanced Splunk dashboards and searches in Splunk
- Experience in pre-planning (Python, JavaScript, or other)
- Familiarity with Splunk's Basic XML System and application structure
- Understanding of ordinary expressions
- Ability to drive insights with data and Splunk products
- Experience in making dashboards in Dashboard Studio
- Knowledge of Ansible and Git
- Understanding of website architecture
- Experience in working collaboratively with application teams to drive innovative solutions for corporate information collection to business logging stages
- Ability to handle intricate Splunk organization issues using knowledge of automation, pre-planning, Ansible, AWS, REST APIs, and Splunk Enterprise
- Experience in creating, testing, and deploying various Splunk setups and Splunk technology add-ons
- Possession and driving of Splunk system and information organization best practices, including information onboarding
- Ability to help with the formation of advanced dashboards, reports, alarms, and other information objects in Splunk to drive value across the organization
- Working from home allowed
- Eligibility for the Employee Reference Program
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Splunk development and customer support
- Strong understanding of Splunk's features and capabilities
- Experience in working with external applications and frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience in working with big data and data analytics
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and platforms
- Experience in working with agile development methodologies
- Certification in Splunk or related technologies
