RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I (reputed company Dakota) (Virtual, ND, US)

Zurich is currently looking for a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team. RCIS provides insurance and superior services through leading agents to protect America’s farmers and ranchers. It’s been an innovator in crop insurance since the crop insurance business was privatized by the federal government in 1980. Today it’s one of the nation’s largest crop insurance providers, offering risk management protection in reputed company 50 states through a national network of about 4,000 professionally trained and licensed agents. The ideal candidate will need to live and service reputed company a 100-mile area of the following reputed company Dakota counties: Cass, Richland, Ransom, and Sargent.

As a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I, your primary responsibilities will include: 

• With minimal supervision, completes field inspections and reputed company responsibilities such as reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields, storage bins, and discussing findings of crop loss with farmers on the most reputed company non-routine, problematic claims including controversial claims.
• Ability to convey reputed company regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people on claim situations.
• Performs fact finding regarding crop damage, records information and transmits loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities.
• Gather relevant facts, utilizing applicable law and establishing basic principles of negligence.
• Complete claim reviews and audits on reputed company-level adjusters as assigned.
• Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing reputed company results and participating on projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained with 180 days of hire date
• Reliable personal transportation and travel reputed company territory
• Valid Driver’s License
• RCIS Crop Adjuster Physical Requirements:walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs., work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster
• Intermediate reputed company Office skills

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. For this position, the salary is $22.40-$30.87, plus a short-term incentive bonus of 5%.
