Job description: The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring ( ) is seeking Math Tutoring specialists for assignments in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego. This position has regular demand, a flexible schedule, and an above average pay rate.
Level: Experience as a math teacher or as a professional math tutor
Location: Sorrento Valley
Position: Math specialist
Classification: Part time employee (W2)
The Position:
- Provide in-person Math tutoring to students in grades 6 -12
- Tutoring sessions take place in our learning center, online, or at local schools
- Tutoring sessions last 60-90 minutes
- 6-12 hours per week of assignments available
- Materials are provided but your supplemental materials may also be used
- Submit a resume which highlights your background teaching or tutoring math. Please be clear on which math subjects you feel comfortable tutoring. Good luck
- 6-12 hours per week of availability
- An earned Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrable ability to teach all math at either the 6th-8th grade level or 9th-12th grade level.
- Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background and >2 years of experience as teacher or tutor
- $30 - $40/hr commensurate
