Job Description Summary:
The Benefit Verification and Authorization Specialist supports patients referred to reputed company to receive specialty medications by completing benefit verification and authorization activities for new referrals with speed and accuracy to reputed company timely access to care. This role works directly with payers to understand benefit design, interpret medical policies, obtain required authorizations, and communicate coverage details and outcomes to Patient Access staff to support timely and accurate onboarding. 830am-5pm CSTJob Description:
Job Responsibilities
- Processes benefit verification or authorization for reputed company new referrals with speed and accuracy.
- Assist Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NO
(i.e. hiring, recommending/approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, discipline, etc.)
Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in reputed company experience.
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.
- Ability to work in a fast past environment.
- High degree of self-discipline in maintaining productivity expectations.
- Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.

Preferred Qualifications & Interests
Healthcare/medical billing experience preferred.

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
