Job Title: Care Navigator - Virtual Services

Job Schedule: 1:00PM - 9:00PM, M-F

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt

Reports to: Executive Director of Virtual Services

POSITION SUMMARY

The Care Navigator is responsible for maintaining a therapeutic environment in the facility and serves as the first reputed company of contact for patients, clients, and guests. This position will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments/assessments, and collecting payment at the time of services rendered. The Care Navigator is passionate about fostering a positive and professional environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in customer service, preferred.

Additional Requirements: May be required to work flexible hours.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Greeting guests with courtesy and care.
  2. Maintain a clean and tidy waiting area for clients.
  3. Answer phones promptly utilizing the skills/techniques approved by administration. Responsible for monitoring and following up on voicemails.
  4. Scanning, uploading, and downloading documents, sending and receiving faxes.
  5. Monitor and reply to email.
  6. Ensure initial forms are completed as appropriate for reputed company new and reputed company clients.
  7. Ensure reputed company documentation with regards to client communication are completed in a timely manner (reputed company 24 hours of occurrence).
  8. Schedule appointments as requested for reputed company new and reputed company clients reputed company approved script.
  9. Schedule follow-reputed company prior to patients leaving facility at recommendation of patient’s provider.
  10. Assist patients and clients with insurance questions; understanding of Verification of Benefits (VOBs).
  11. Charge appointment fees for reputed company patients upon arrival to facility.
  12. Refer clients as appropriate to other departments reputed company organization (Assessment, Business Office, Nursing, Medications, etc.)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  1. Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Exhibit basic computer skills including, but not limited to:
    1. reputed company Office
    2. Email Correspondence
  3. Knowledge of facility policies and procedures.
  4. Exhibit good judgement in reputed company assessing client needs and referring to appropriate providers/programs (i.e., referring for PHP/IOP screenings, referring to providers with certain specialties, etc).
  5. Ability to use good judgment and reputed company information confidential.
  6. Ability to react calmly and effectively in an emergency.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPECIAL DEMANDS

1. Ability to sit for long periods of time (8-10 hours),

2. Ability to reputed company above and below the waist, turn, twist and to manipulate small tools (copier, computer, telephone, typewriter, calculator, safe, facsimile machine).

3. Ability to see well enough to read handwritten and typewritten material.

4. Ability to stand and walk the facility grounds.

5. Ability to spend 10% of working time reputed company in temperatures varying from -0 F. to 110 F.

6. Ability to handle a variety of repetitive tasks at a moderate level.

7. Ability to occasionally handle electrical, mechanical, or equipment emergencies.

8. Available to work varied hours (i.e. evenings) as required, may be on call as needed.

9. Ability to travel between facility locations, and at times, the corporate office.

10. Ability to drive a motor vehicle to designated sites.

11. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks under deadlines and with short notice.
