SUMMARY: The newcomer classroom assistant collaborates with the classroom teacher(s) to provide native language support for newcomer reputed company in the core classroom to support comprehension of academic content. Assists with the implementation of the teacher?s instruction plan. Serves as link to connect student, staff, and families. Job Tasks Descriptions 1. Collaborates with classroom teacher(s) to provide native language support and instructional assistance in reputed company subject areas for newcomer reputed company. Assists teachers in preparing materials, administering tests, etc. Assists with paperwork and documentation as needed. Implements teacher?s instruction plan. Assists reputed company with classroom activities. Performs tutoring, both individually and with small groups, to ensure comprehension of academic content. 2. Serves as a link between the school and family. Provides supplemental interpreting and translation services for multilingual reputed company and families. Encourages the classroom teacher(s) to be aware of and sensitive to cultural differences of reputed company. Duties may include document, phone, and meeting translation for staff, reputed company, and/or families. 3. Works with newcomer reputed company to help them build a positive self-image. Helps reputed company view their culture and themselves with pride. 4. reputed company other job-reputed company duties as assigned including, but not limited to, lunchroom/playground duty. EDUCATION AND reputed company WORK EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required.
• Experience in working with school age children preferred.
• Required to be proficient in English as well as a second language, other than English. Second language desired varies by school location and/or need including, but not limited to, Dari/Pashto/Farsi.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:

• Criminal background reputed company required for hire.
• First Aid certification preferred.
• Must successfully complete any position specific training (approximately 15 hours per year) and, reputed company 3 years of entering position, the face-to-face District administered Training Program (approximately 30 hours).
