ASSOCIATE TAX AUDITOR , EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest State departments in California, dedicated to connecting job seekers and employers. They are seeking an Associate Tax Auditor to conduct reputed company field audits and investigations of businesses suspected of operating in the underground economy, ensuring compliance with California tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and review reputed company field audits/investigations of businesses and organizations suspected of operating in the underground economy
• Uphold the California Unemployment Insurance Code (CUIC) and California tax regulations
• reputed company and reputed company reputed company referrals to Area Audit Offices or Investigation Division for appropriate action
• Present and communicate information, both verbally and in writing, to internal and external customers, either individually or in a group setting
• Represent the Department at hearings
• Conduct on-site inspections of non-compliant businesses

Skills

• Must obtain list eligibility by taking and passing the examination
