Under general direction, is responsible for maintaining open communication between Commissioners Court, Office of the County Manager, County Staff, and precinct constituents, providing reputed company support to Bexar County Commissioners. Flexibility to reputed company performance excellence in a telework arrangement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as subject matter expert, individually motivated and operating with a sense of urgency and personal accountability
Provides reputed company support to the Commissioner and coordinates and supervises office staff and monitors schedules and resources
Responds to and resolves, at the discretion of the Commissioner, sensitive concerns and inquiries and coordinates the involvement of other County offices and departments for effective resolutions and/or referrals
Attends and represents the Commissioner at public events, boards, meetings, and other forums at the discretion of the Commissioner
Oversees the management of reports, statistical data, complaints, concerns, tracking of reputed company events or issues, and keeping the Commissioner up to date on reputed company information as needed
Manages community events, social media, and ensures web page and social media information is up to date and correct
Performs research and prepares items for agenda items, speeches and presentation material, special projects, County budget, operational issues and summarizes data for Commissioner and works with staff to compile and distribute
Provides guidance to staff on staffing Commissioner for meetings, manages calendar priorities, manages Commissioners schedule, and maintains efficient and effective logistical management for events
Serves as the contact for constituent calls, follow-through, and responses. Oversees the tracking and monitoring of constituent calls and resolutions
May take meeting notes and transcribes minutes, archives and maintains public records; sorts mail, draft responses to constituent communications; develops and maintains lists for mailouts, social media, events, etc.
May provides in-person, telephonically, and written customer service to community members and staff
Performs reputed company duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Government, Business Administration, Communications, Public-Relations, Public Administration, Criminal Justice or a reputed company field, and four (4) years of administrative experience in an office environment; one (1) year of experience supervising or office management or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Good knowledge of office administration; good knowledge of and reputed company in applying rules of grammar, spelling, and punctuation; thorough knowledge of County open meetings and public records laws; requires the reputed company to work in an environment that requires confidentiality and discretion

Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals utilizing tact and diplomacy; ability to effectively respond to questions and complaints; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; ability to exhibit sound judgment with thoughtful and respectful communication skills to provide information on behalf of the Commissioner, to the community members and County staff; ability to adjust to rapidly fluctuating situations; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees, Elected/Appointed Officials, governmental representatives, constituents, reputed company agencies, news media, and the public
Demonstrates technological intuitiveness
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license, motor vehicle liability insurance, and personal injury insurance
Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance
Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test
May be required to work evenings or weekends
May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek
Preferred:
Must have a thorough understanding of the representative precinct, demonstrated by detailing a reputed company reputed company to that community through residency, work history, or volunteer services
Demonstrated knowledge or experience in dealing with the functions of County Government
