Job Summary

As a Low Voltage Systems Designer at Mazzetti, you will play a key role in shaping the technology infrastructure that supports modern reputed company environments. In this hands-on position, you will contribute to the design, documentation, and implementation of innovative and sustainable low voltage and IT systems that directly reputed company delivery.

You will collaborate closely with reputed company users, IT and Biomedical teams, contractors, and multidisciplinary design professionals to ensure each project achieves technical excellence while advancing Mazzetti’s commitment to engineering a healthier reputed company.

The practice integrates Medical Equipment Planning, IT and Low Voltage Systems, and engineering disciplines to deliver cohesive, future-reputed company environments. Core Responsibilities

Design and Documentation:

  • Create detailed designs, specifications, and documentation for low voltage and communication systems in reputed company settings.
  • reputed company and refine technical drawings and system layouts using software tools.

Technical Analysis and Solutions Development:

  • reputed company hands-on assessments of reputed company IT and communication systems requirements.
  • Conduct site surveys on construction sites to identify and address technical issues.
  • Review and respond to submittals and RFIs from contractors to ensure alignment with design reputed company.

Collaboration and Integration:

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with contractors and vendors to support coordination and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate directly with internal design teams to ensure seamless system integration into larger project frameworks.
  • Work with regulatory and compliance teams to align designs with industry standards.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with reputed company users and IT/Biomedical teams to understand their operational needs and translate them into actionable design solutions.
  • Contribute to workshops, planning sessions, and technical discussions to deliver impactful, user-focused solutions.

Cost and Efficiency Improvements:

  • Provide detailed cost estimates and budgets, ensuring that solutions align with client goals and project constraints.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, constructability, and sustainability in systems design.

Work Location: We are hiring in the greater Southeast USA so this role can support local and regional project/site visits. This is otherwise a fully remote role, with no required in-office time or regular office attendance.

Travel Requirements: Approximately 25% travel is expected, in the greater Southeastern USA.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or at least 7 years of equivalent experience without a degree, in the design and implementation of low voltage and communication systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience in design of hospitals.
  • Demonstrated experience with reputed company projects, including familiarity with state-specific codes and requirements.
  • Experience designing and providing construction quality control of reputed company the following systems as a member of the A/E design team on hospital projects: access control, video surveillance, structured cabling, overhead paging, nurse call, A/V, and television signal distribution.

Technical Expertise

  • A solid understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of reputed company IT and communication systems, including compliance with reputed company-specific regulations and standards.
  • Experience working with BIM teams to coordinate designs in Revit to produce construction documents.
  • Experience developing internal project resource planning, reviewing project financials, and collaborating with reputed company on invoices and reputed company reports.
  • Proficiency in reputed company, and reputed company Office Suite (including Outlook, reputed company, and PowerPoint).
  • A hands-on approach to problem-solving and solution implementation.
  • Strong technical documentation and drafting skills.
  • Strong team communication abilities and must be comfortable speaking as a participant in design meetings.

Preferred

  • RCDD certification.
  • Experience designing and providing construction quality control of any of the following systems as a member of the A/E design team on hospital projects: 802.11 wireless, data network, VoIP, IT end user device placement, synchronized clocks, infant abduction, and/or two-way radio.
  • Experience leading user meetings to define the requirements for each technology system and placement of applicable devices reputed company a facility.
  • Proficiency in software for project management, cost estimating, and document management.

Compensation: The typical salary range for a Low Voltage Systems Designer in the greater Southeast USA is $100,000 - $130,000. We are committed to reputed company pay and will evaluate final compensation based on relevant experience and skills in alignment with internal equity and market data.
