Job Summary
We're seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Licensed Pharmacy Technician to join reputed company in Houston, Texas. As a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of prescription information, maintaining patient records, and collaborating with reputed company to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Pharmacy Technician, Data Entry Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing data entry tasks to ensure accurate and timely entry of prescription information
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring compliance with reputed company relevant regulations and standards, including HIPAA and other privacy laws
- Collaborating with reputed company to ensure the accuracy of prescription and patient information
- Identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues reputed company to prescriptions
- Handling calls to and from patients, providers, and other pharmacy staff
- Partnering with pharmacists for questions about prescriptions
- Meeting internal and external KPIs
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in pharmacy operations and keeping license active
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A reputed company and active license as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Texas (Texas State Board of Pharmacy)
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent certification
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy operations, typing prescriptions
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medications, and medical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in using pharmacy management software and other relevant computer applications. Experience using Lifefile is preferred
