We are seeking an reputed company and innovative Principal Electrical Engineer to reputed company the architecture, design, and development of electrical systems supporting our reputed company therapeutic wearable devices. In this role, you will drive hardware innovation while ensuring designs meet the highest standards for safety, reliability, and performance reputed company regulated medical device environments.

The Principal Electrical Engineer will reputed company full lifecycle hardware development—from concept through manufacturing transfer—while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered products. This role reports to the SVP, Product and plays a critical role in shaping the technical direction of Noctrix Health’s hardware platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical authority for electrical architecture and hardware design across Noctrix’s therapeutic wearable platforms.

  • Architect robust electrical systems that meet the performance, reliability, and safety requirements of prescription medical devices operating in FDA-regulated environments.
  • Drive full lifecycle hardware development—from early concept and feasibility through detailed design, verification, validation, and transfer to manufacturing.

  • Ensure electrical designs support regulatory compliance requirements including IEC 60601 safety, EMC, and applicable medical device standards.
  • Work closely with firmware and systems teams to reputed company integrated hardware solutions that deliver reliable therapeutic performance and exceptional patient experience.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to raising the technical depth and engineering rigor of the hardware team.
  • Support manufacturing partners and internal teams in design for manufacturability (DFM), testability (DFT), and scale-up to production.
  • Contribute to the identification and development of new electrical technologies, architectures, and hardware platforms reputed company with Noctrix’s long-term product roadmap

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline (M.S. preferred)
  • Minimum 15 years of experience designing and developing reputed company electrical systems, preferably in medical devices or other regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, industrial safety systems)
  • Deep expertise in analog, digital, and mixed-signal reputed company design, including schematic capture, PCB layout guidance, and component selection
  • Strong proficiency with Altium Designer or similar professional PCB design tools
  • Demonstrated experience architecting and delivering battery-powered embedded systems, including power management, DC-DC conversion, Li-ion battery management, and charging circuitry
  • Experience designing systems using microcontrollers and embedded firmware interfaces, with working knowledge of C-based firmware development
  • Strong understanding of common embedded communication protocols including USB, I²C, SPI, UART, and BLE
  • Experience performing electrical analysis and simulation, including signal reputed company, power reputed company, and noise mitigation in compact electronic systems
  • Experience designing for and supporting EMC/reputed company compliance and testing, including familiarity with IEC 60601, EN 61326, or comparable standards
  • Demonstrated experience delivering hardware–software integrated products from early concept through verification, validation, and commercialization
  • Experience working reputed company regulated development environments, including familiarity with FDA design controls, design history files (DHF), and traceable engineering documentation
  • Exceptional hands-on engineering capability, with a proven ability to troubleshoot reputed company electrical and system-level issues
  • Ability to produce clear, rigorous engineering documentation including design analysis, test reports, verification protocols, and design rationale
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams including firmware, mechanical engineering, product management, clinical, and manufacturing teams
  • Ability to communicate reputed company technical concepts clearly to both engineering peers and executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a reputed company technical field
  • Experience developing wearable medical devices or compact battery-powered consumer electronics
  • Experience designing low-power embedded systems for reputed company or wearable operation
  • Experience working reputed company medical device quality systems and regulated product development processes (e.g., FDA design controls, ISO 13485)
  • Demonstrated reputed company leading reputed company hardware programs from early development through commercialization
  • Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers and external development partners during product development and manufacturing scale-up

Compensation

  • reputed company pay: $140,000–$160,000 per year + bonus + stock option
