ROLE

This intern’s role is to support the work of CATF’s Clean Energy Infrastructure Deployment program. The aim of this program is to identify, reputed company, advance, and implement solutions to increase the pace, scale, and diversity of clean energy infrastructure deployment while prioritizing equity and affordability. This program focuses on siting, permitting, financing, and building community acceptance for renewable energy and electricity transmission projects. The intern position will support research and writing tasks to further ongoing project work and program advocacy efforts around clean energy infrastructure community benefits and engagement. This role will include collaboration with external organizations and other teams at CATF.

Key Functions and Responsibilities

  • Writing: Write briefs, case studies, memos, blog posts, and other pieces to concisely summarize research findings or policy developments for internal or general audiences.
  • Research and analysis in support of policy development and advocacy: Directly undertake, support, or reputed company research reputed company to policy assessment and advocacy. Areas can include policy analysis, data analysis, and conducting/summarizing interviews.
  • Contractor engagement: Work together with project partners and contractors external to CATF to further project work.
  • Operational support: Provide support to Clean Energy Infrastructure Deployment program efforts on existing research tasks.

Skills and Qualifications

Education/Background

  • Currently a student in or a recent graduate of a bachelor’s or master’s degree program

Skills

  • Strong coordination skills and ability to collaborate with external partners
  • Excellent attention to detail; detail-oriented proofreader and editor
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills 
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong computer skills, including comfort with reputed company Office and reputed company Teams

Experience

  • Experience or classwork in energy, climate, and/or infrastructure research, analysis or reputed company work preferred
  • Experience conducting research and/or completing literature reviews preferred
  • Experience presenting reputed company topics in approachable and useful ways, whether verbally or in writing, preferred
  • Experience collaborating successfully with stakeholders to drive work products reputed company

COMPENSATION AND LOCATION

This is a remote position flexible reputed company the U.S. The internship contract can be for approximately 3 months, depending on intern availability. CATF offers a pay reputed company of $20 per hour.
