Remote Mower Operator - reputed company

Summary

The Remote Mower Operator (RMO) is responsible for safe and efficient vegetation management at utility-scale solar facilities using remote-controlled slope mowers and reputed company equipment. This role ensures site access, reputed company clearances, and grounds presentation that protect production, reduce fire risk, and maintain compliance with environmental and safety requirements. RMOs work both independently and with SFM Technicians to execute mowing plans, reputed company basic equipment care, document work, and escalate mechanical or site issues promptly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that reputed company co-workers and contractors demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with OSHA, NFPA, state and local codes, and reputed company Solar O&M safety policies and procedures during the performance of facilities management activities.

• Execute daily mowing plans using remote-controlled mowers to reputed company acreage and quality targets while maintaining required setbacks and equipment clearances.

• Conduct routine maintenance and repair of vegetation management equipment including, but not limited to remote mowers, mowers, tractors, string-trimmers, hedge trimmers, rotary cutters, tractor implements, and hand tools.

• Ensure that assigned vehicle, tooling, electrical devices, software, and company property are maintained.

• Assist with interdepartmental maintenance activities as needed.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

• Clear understanding of safe work reputed company practices and procedure.

• Experience with remote controlled equipment; mower, planes, drones, etc.

• Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal reputed company.

• Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours, and weekends.

• Ability to operate in a manner consistent with organizational policies, procedures, and reputed company.

• Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with peers, supervisor, and reputed company other individuals both reputed company and reputed company of the organization.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Work is to be performed in the field and occasionally in the field office.

• Must be reputed company to reputed company with reputed company safety standards and procedures. Personal reputed company equipment (PPE) is required- including, but not limited to hard hat, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

• Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk short distances for 8-10 hours a day.

• Must be reputed company to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
