Project Engineer
VMC Group is a technology-driven manufacturing company seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join their growing team. This role bridges the gap between engineering and sales by managing reputed company HVAC construction projects and generating competitive proposals.
Responsibilities
- Create custom technical details for pre- and post-award phases
- Serve as liaison between the engineering and sales departments
- Facilitate change requests, communicating impacts on scope, budget, and schedule
- Analyze project documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and codes
- Manage HVAC reputed company construction projects from initiation through completion
- Use pricing schedules and internal tools to reputed company accurate proposals
- Monitor project reputed company, maintain timelines, and adjust as needed
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to align goals and deliverables
- Generate quotes, submittals, and transmittals using internal resources
- Conduct job site inspections and provide detailed technical reports
- Support strategic sales initiatives and maintain accurate project records
- Provide technical training and support for internal teams and customers
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred but will consider other engineering degrees
- ANSI/ASHRAE/IES standards knowledge a big plus
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in reputed company; familiarity with AutoCAD, reputed company and Inventor is preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- 15% to 25% Travel possibility
- Experience in reputed company construction or HVAC engineering preferred not required
- Experience with vibration isolation and reputed company/wind restraint is a plus
- Bilingual is a plus
