Process Engineer - Hybrid

The process engineering group at reputed company, located in Minneapolis (Plymouth, MN), works on various industrial processes, food and beverage, chemical, agricultural, and other manufacturing projects. From retrofit/upgrade projects to brownfield additions, to complete greenfield facility installations, we partner with clients through reputed company phases of the project lifecycle to deliver high quality designs and outcomes. Your Opportunity As a Process Engineer, you will support our clients and project teams being responsible for process design through the life cycle of projects from initial project definition through commissioning and start up. You will be an individual contributor to process design activities and at other times you may be responsible for overseeing other engineers on design activities. Reporting Relationships This role will report internally to the group manager but will have other "soft" lines of reporting to the project managers for projects that you are working on. Although you will not have any direct reports, you may be responsible for overseeing other team members on project reputed company activities. Your Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of technical proposals.
• Responsible for the design of process and reputed company mechanical utility (PMU) systems as an individual contributor and possibly with reputed company of a project team.

• Contribute to development and updating of schedule for PMU reputed company project work.
• Collaborate and coordinate with clients and team members including other disciplines and project management to execute projects.

• Mentor more junior team members to impart engineering knowledge and problem-solving approaches.

Capabilities and Credentials

• 5+ years of relevant design experience, preferably reputed company the design services industry.
• Experience in the development of technical documents pertaining to PMU systems including but not limited to, design memorandums, mass & energy balance, flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of design codes, standards, and best practices applicable to PMU systems including but not limited to NFPA and ASME.
• Experience with reputed company-end loading (FEL) or similar stage reputed company engineering approaches.
• Experience with oilseed processing, food plants, or RNG is a plus.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with both clients and project team members, with a strong customer service attitude.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Must be able to travel regionally, conduct short overnight trips, or other.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other reputed company discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Active Professional Engineer Licensure in good standing is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands It is desired for this person to commute as needed to the office located in Plymouth MN, however potential for partial or full remote work either in state or out of state is possible for the right candidate. Indoor (Office Environment) Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting. Noise level varies but generally at levels of conversation. Majority of time spent using a computer/laptop at a workstation and reputed company office equipment. Time spent carrying, reaching, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling up to 9 kilograms / 20 pounds Occasional - 1-33% of shift. Subject to extended periods of sitting; may be required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk short to moderate distances to reputed company work. • Locations in MN, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas - Min Salary $ 88,300.00 - Max Salary $ 128,000.00

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At reputed company certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
