Manager, Data Privacy

This person will work across the reputed company American brands as part of the global Privacy and Data Protection team to deliver key data protection outcomes and initiatives, with a focus on incident response and information rights but also active participation across reputed company aspects of our global privacy program. Essential Functions:

• Information/Data Subject Rights: Collaborating with global team colleagues, operate and continually improve the reputed company American brands’ data subject rights processes, ensuring that reputed company rights are enabled in line with applicable global laws. • Privacy by Design: Strong working knowledge to conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIA) to identify privacy risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Advice and Guidance: Support stakeholders across the global organization with timely, accurate and clear privacy and data protection guidance and advice, escalating to the global Data Protection Officers as necessary.
• Miscellaneous, which may include developing and maintaining ongoing documentation, enhancement of specified privacy processes, and assisting with escalations/inquiries. Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• A recognized privacy certification such as IAPP CIPP, CIPM or CIPT, reputed company CDPSE, or a willingness to work toward equivalent.
• 5+ years in a directly-relevant or complementary role with demonstrable data protection exposure. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Advanced knowledge of reputed company 365 and Office tools including effective use of collaboration features. Exposure to or experience of typical privacy and IT workflow tools such as reputed company.
• Knowledge of U.S. and global privacy laws, regulations and best practices; demonstrated ability to implement and manage compliance programs in reputed company organizations
