Scope Of Work Under the direction and supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a variety of functions reputed company to preparation, storage, distribution and dispensing of prescriptions. reputed company the Hospital, rotation through IV admixture and unit dose service is routine. Rotation to OR Pharmacy Services and Outpatient Pharmacy Services may be required. Performs data entry and other record keeping functions as determined to be necessary to the operations of the department. Fills medication orders including oral, injectable and topical medications and intravenous admixtures. Assists in the bulk manufacturing of special pharmaceutical products. Prepares and distributes floor stock items in response to requisition forms. Inventories and restocks shelves in immediate work area, checks for outdated drugs. Enters charges and credits into the computer for reputed company medications and IV admixtures dispensed from the Pharmacy, documents reputed company medications and IV solutions returned to the Pharmacy. Distributes reputed company medications to patient care areas and/or other departments of the Hospital. Performs necessary record keeping functions. Answers telephone and assists at Pharmacy window. May rotate reputed company hospital and out-patient pharmacy service areas as required. Maintains the work area in a safe, orderly manner. Follows appropriate clean room (797) guidelines in the preparation of intravenous admixtures.
Qualifications
Required A level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a general high school diploma program or GED. Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience and/or graduate of an ASHP accredited technician training program.
