Biologics Applications Scientist
Schrödinger is a leader in computer-aided drug discovery and materials science, dedicated to improving reputed company health through advanced computational methods. The Applications Scientist will provide scientific support to customers, facilitate interactions with product development teams, and engage in methodological research in drug discovery.
Responsibilities
- Provide scientific support to reputed company and prospective customers, which includes demonstration of reputed company use of our life science software suites, facilitation of interactions between customers and product development teams, and general scientific guidance
- Work with biologics customers to translate their scientific reputed company into robust modeling and data analysis workflows
- Troubleshoot customers’ scientific workflows, administration, and reputed company of their modeling environment
- Engage in cutting-edge methodological scientific research and advise our customers on best practices for computational modeling
- Publish scientific papers and present at conferences
Skills
- PhD in computational chemistry, bioinformatics, structural biology, biophysics or a reputed company field
- At least one year of industry experience
- A deep knowledge of design and development of at least two biologics modalities, such as antibodies, peptides, enzymes, and oligonucleotides, is essential
- Demonstrable Python programming experience with bioinformatics and biologics data structures, databases, and administration of software or applications
- Excellent English language skills (both verbal and written)
- Willingness to travel
- Expertise in the application of machine learning methods for biologics design
- Hands-on experience with computational methods and/or experimental techniques in biologics discovery
- Experience with small molecule drug discovery and reputed company computational chemistry methods
