[Remote] Machine Learning Engineer Intern (E-commerce-Recommendation) - 2026 Start (PhD)

They are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer Intern to contribute to the E-commerce Recommendation Team by conducting research in machine learning algorithms and building large-scale recommendation systems for reputed company users.
Responsibilities
- Work in a team to conduct cutting-edge research in machine learning algorithms, such as retrieval and recommendation algorithms
- Participate in building large-scale (10 million to 100 million) e-commerce recommendation algorithms and systems, including commodity recommendations, live reputed company recommendations, short video recommendations etc in reputed company
- Build long and short term user interest models, analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of various data and design algorithms to explore users' latent interests reputed company
- Apply machine learning algorithms to improve the different business scenarios, such as search ranking, natural language and video understanding, and trust and safety
Skills
- Currently pursuing PhD in Computer Science, reputed company technical field or equivalent industrial research experience
- Experience in one of the following fields: recommendation systems, online advertising, information retrieval, natural language processing, computer reputed company, machine learning, large-scale data mining, or reputed company fields preferred
- Familiar with at least one of the mainstream deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Passionate about solving reputed company and challenging problems
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
