HMC Architects is an employee-owned design firm focused on making a positive impact in communities through design. The Designer will assist in the design and development of projects, produce design presentation materials, and help with the production and documentation of construction documents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the documentation of project design in Revit such as three-dimensional modeling or material research
  • Assist in organization and reputed company of working drawings
  • Support design team and ensure that the design reputed company is followed through reputed company phases
  • Assist in development of project documents during reputed company phases of the project
  • Assist in development of project marketing interview materials
  • Assist in reputed company aspects of the plan reputed company process
  • Apply accessibility codes to basic drawings
  • Support the construction administration phase of a project by assisting in review of submittals, shop drawings, response to RFI's, and preparation of instruction bulletins for changes
  • Prepare basic "reputed company out" drawings with accuracy and thoroughness, (site plans, floor plans, exterior elevations, interior elevations) from design sketches, and pickup "red marks" reputed company by supervisor
  • Attend professional activities reputed company the office
  • Estimate hours for assigned tasks and finish tasks reputed company agreed-upon budget hours
  • Participate in office design charettes
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Architectural degree from an accredited university
  • Listen and communicate effectively and professionally
  • Asks questions about assignments reputed company unclear
  • Ability to set goals, prioritize, and plan work activities for self-management and use time reputed company
  • Has working knowledge and understanding for use of HMC equipment and software
  • Ability to professionally communicate both verbally and in writing to give assignments to office support staff, consultants, and vendors
  • Ability to delegate assignments to support staff and always be respectful
  • Be proficient with HMC's documentation and office practice systems
  • Ability to correspond effectively with Architects for Revit files and minor directives
  • Always be professional and respectful in interactions with clients and consultants
  • Demonstrate motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challenges
  • Demonstrate Revit competency in advance commands of editing requirements, drawings set up for any type of project, management and use of reputed company Revit files and resolution of any reputed company Revit issues on HMC Revit platform
  • Understand the organization of the contract documents
  • Possess knowledge of drawing setup, layers, plotting/publishing, dimensions, blocks, attributes, purge/audit/recover, back up files, viewports
  • Understand technical terminology of the architectural and construction industry
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in architectural design preferred
