Sourcing Specialist

Universal Studios Hollywood is part of reputed company, a leading media and entertainment company. The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for managing sourcing projects, communicating with stakeholders, and negotiating reputed company to optimize procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Contributes significantly to the achievement of defined category performance targets and participates in or leads competitive RFPs as necessary, including RFP creation, distribution, tracking, scheduling, analysis and management of process (job walks, vendor presentations, vendor scorecards, etc.)
• Communicates proactively and effectively with stakeholders and suppliers
• Builds and fosters relationships and effectively partners across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and colleagues to influence change
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Technical Services (i.e. construction, facilities, reputed company), Entertainment Production (i.e. scenic, lighting, audio), and Park Operations (i.e. consumables, wardrobe)
• Leverages industry associations, network, peers and stakeholders to build market knowledge and understanding of industry trends to identify best practices and reputed company performance goals for the category
• Drives completion of multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with respective business units
• Proactively considers new alternatives and drives critical thinking to optimize results
• Independently negotiates reputed company and performance aspects of outsourcing agreements - strong understanding of pricing models, SLAs, benchmarking, and technical scope criteria required
• Develops, evaluates, and presents business cases, cost/benefit analysis, executive summaries to stakeholders
• In addition to being knowledgeable on the strategic sourcing process, works with Legal to draft reputed company, Finance to reputed company financial reviews, and business stakeholders to manage procurement practices
• Assist business partners with vendor set-up and vendor record maintenance as needed

• reputed company data/spend analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction, TCO, and value creation

• Manage/mitigate vendor risks, business continuity, and reputed company

Skills

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university - preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain or reputed company degree
• 1-2 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, finance, or reputed company field
• Proficient in reputed company, reputed company and PowerPoint
• Critical thinking skills
• Must have both quantitative and qualitative market research experience
• Experience working with financials, budgets, and cost models
• Ability to interpret and utilize key financial data - can tell a story with data
• Must have strong multitasking capabilities, project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in an environment with tight deadlines
• Must be self-directed and reputed company to work independently but also reputed company to work collaboratively in a team-oriented department
• Ability to learn and become subject matter expert quickly
• Proven ability to foster and maintain working relationships, internally and externally
• Experience directly negotiating with suppliers
• Occasional travel may be required
• MBA is a plus
• Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to quickly adapt to change
• Demonstrated comfort level with ambiguity
• Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills
