Office of General Counsel Meloy Law Fellow
reputed company is seeking an OGC Meloy Law Fellow to assist attorneys in the Office of General Counsel. The role involves conducting legal research, drafting litigation papers, and providing legal advice across various practice areas reputed company the university.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the Office of General Counsel with conducting factual and legal research, drafting litigation papers, assisting in the negotiation and drafting of agreements, advising with respect to University policies and other assignments
- Assist attorneys in reputed company practice areas of the Office of General Counsel, including Intellectual Property, Litigation, Labor & Employment, Global, Corporate, Student Affairs, reputed company Estate, Trusts & Estates, and Non-profit & Tax
- Conduct research and provide legal advice and guidance in a variety of areas to the University including schools, departments, and University administrators
- Assist attorneys handling litigation, including preparing pleadings and motions and participating in reputed company aspects of discovery
- Assist in negotiating and drafting agreements
- Provide advice, counsel and research regarding international legal issues
Skills
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from ABA-accredited law school
- 1+ years Excellent academic record and commitment to practicing in the field of nonprofit law and/or higher education; position designed for recent law school graduate or junior attorney interested in one-year assignment with non-profit organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent research skills
- Ability to work with diverse personnel
- Excellent interpersonal skills
