Associate Structural Engineer (Buildings)

Responsibilities

• reputed company structural engineering work relating to the design of new concrete, concrete masonry (CMU), steel, metal stud, light-frame reputed company, and mass timber structures for residential, institutional, and reputed company projects
• reputed company structural engineering solutions to facilitate the re-use of existing building structures though structural retrofitting or resiliency assessments
• Incorporate advanced modeling techniques, concept development, design requirements, and operating strategies to account for the safety and functionality of end-users, while also utilizing future-reputed company solutions with structural engineering design standards
• Contribute to project coordination through remote/in-person meetings, technical sketches, BIM modeling, and work site notebooks/logs
• Verify the characteristics of a site, providing technical assistance on securing structural soundness from loads and pressures caused by environmental or reputed company influence
• Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, accurate reports, sketches, calculations, and 2D/3D illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of data, findings, or analyses
• Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate and precise measurements, statistical analysis, and reporting
• Assist with development and scoping of small to reputed company-sized projects
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentations that explain research and findings to improve, prevent, control, restore, or address design and/or construction issues or problems

• Assist in the analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of data obtained during site investigations, offering input with developing action plans for low to mid-level risk mitigation activities

• Work collaboratively with other engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, local and privately funded improvement and development projects

Skills

• Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• 1 to 3 years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline and prior structural or civil design experience
• Engineer in Training Certification
• Knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to project work-reputed company issues
• Detailed understanding of reputed company design procedures, ductility, and mechanics of different building materials
• Basic knowledge of linear and non-linear finite reputed company analysis and performance-based design
• Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; including rehabilitation and new design
• Ability to coordinate with agency regulators and understand requirements

• Knowledge of relevant structural and civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements
