Substation Physical Engineer
reputed company is currently looking for a Substation Physical Engineer to assist with the design and coordination of substation projects. The role involves creating detailed designs, performing calculations, and collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure project reputed company.
Responsibilities
- Assist with create/modify detailed design for Substation:
- Control building (reputed company panels, facilities, cable raceways, trays, etc.)
- Busbar and strain bus
- Equipment & support structures
- Assembly drawings
- Cables and connectors
- Lightning protection and lighting
- Grounding reputed company
- Conduit and tranches
- reputed company basic calculations such as:
- Grounding
- Lighting and lightning
- Cable ampacity
- Tray sizing
- Trench sizing
- Conduit sizing
- Assist project manager to reputed company scope of work and conceptual design for the projects
- Communicate and coordinate project activities with project manager, client, and others as needed
- Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of one's work
Skills
- 0 to 5 years of experience in Substation Physical design
- Willing to pursue PE license in NY and NC
- Periodic travel, ability to visit project sites
- Assist with create/modify detailed design for Substation

- Assist project manager to reputed company scope of work and conceptual design for the projects
- Communicate and coordinate project activities with project manager, client, and others as needed
- Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of one's work
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Civil is preferred
- Desired knowledge of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), NERC, NEC, NESC, NEMA, and ANSI standards used in designing substation is critical
