Overview:

SMG Surgery Specialists Leigh in Norfolk VA is hiring a Genetic Counselor. This position is 100% remote however candidates must reputed company in the reputed company. Provides genetic counseling services and education to patients and their family members under the physician\'s direct supervision, serving as an expert resource regarding cancer-reputed company genetics.

Responsibilities:

Functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on the medical specialty of cancer genetics. Provides leadership and education to patients, family members, staff, Physicians, and other reputed company providers. Participates in research development activities. Serve as a consultant for the Cancer Risk Assessment and Genetic Counselor Program for reputed company Professionals. Works with and supports physicians, health colleagues, and the community in efforts of education regarding the genetic aspects of hereditary cancer syndrome.

Requirements:

• Masters in Genetics required
• MS Genetics Counseling Training Program preferred.

Certification:

• Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) Certification-American Board for Genetic Counseling (ABGC)
• Genetic Counselor- State License of Virginia Department of Health Professional (VADHP)
• BLS

Experience:

• Prior experience in Genetic Counseling
